The first stock that you like is Godrej Properties . Why is that a prudent buy at the current levels?
Within the real estate space, Godrej Properties is a marquee name. The company has a very strong brand recall across the country. It has a pan India presence in terms of its development projects. It has a huge land bank of the group which it is developing over a period of time. Both on account of the development projects as well as strength of the group’s land bank, this is a very good and safe investment bet for investors.
The company also enjoys a very good brand recall based on the kind of track record they have in developing and implementing real estate project.
Given all that I feel that despite the run up the stock remains a very good investment idea for investors looking at a safe yet potentially rewarding investment idea. Real estate anyway as a sector has come into limelight lately with the RERA coming in the sector is likely to remain strong and in focus for time to come. So I feel Godrej Properties can be a very good idea given all this for investors.
And what is the second stock on your radar?
EPC Industries is a micro irrigation system company. This company was taken over by M&M in 2011 and since then a lot of capital has been infused into this business. The company has a huge potential to grow over the next three to five years and my bullishness stems from the fact that the micro irrigation systems are now getting a good traction from farmers.
Over the years, a lot of farmers have become familiar with this technique. Given that monsoons over the years have tended to be not very widely distributed and on many yearsm it tends to be less than normalm the importance of micro irrigation systems will always remain there.
The kind of pressure to increase crop yield and productivity from farmers will also ensure that MIS that is micro irrigation systems will always remain in demand. M&M is a very strong group backing this company and the kind of money and commitment which they have put into this company should augur well for future. Disclosure here that both these stocks are in my portfolio and also have been recommended to my investors.
