On October 3, 4 and 5, the second NxSE edition (pronounce Nexi), the ” International Digital Shift Forum – Indian Ocean & Africa ” will be held in Reunion Island, a French department located in the Indian Ocean. After a successful first edition, NxSE is now the key meeting between French and European companies and their counterparts from the Indian Ocean, as well as French and English speaking African countries.
This international and unique meeting gathers all the digital operators from Africa in a single location, Reunion Island, French Tech territory in e-health. The aim is to develop Reunion Island’s economy by highlighting the local operators’ savoir-faire, by promoting regional and international cooperation, and by creating South-South and North-South business opportunities. Following the Forum’s first edition, the organisers can be pleased to see the creation of three companies on the island.
Created on Digital Reunion’s initiative, and supported by many institutional partners (European Union, Government, Reunion Island’s Prefecture, Reunion DIECCTE, Regional Council, CINOR, CIREST, Saint-Denis City Hall, Saint-Andr� City Hall.) and private ones, NxSE 2017 will be held in Saint-Denis, Reunion Island, and will offer a programme full of business opportunities and conferences on strategic monitoring :
– 400 managers and decision-makers from the digital, innovation and international trade industries ;
– Of which 60 foreign companies and 70 local and international speakers, coming from 10 African countries (Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Mozambique and Tunisia);
– 20 thematic conferences led by distinguished speakers in the key fields of Digital Shift : E-health Markets and Challenges, Industry of the Future, Smart Cities, E-tourism – journey into data, E-farming – the 3rd farming revolution ;
– Three side Events : Industry of the Future Barcamp, E-health Datathon, Best Idea Pitch
– An exhibition area for 30 companies and partners;
– Speed-dating sessions and BtoB meetings.
For the second consecutive year, the Forum also hosts the African French Tech’s annual meeting. Reunion French Tech, Cap Town French Tech, Abidjan French Tech, Nairobi and Mauritius French Tech networks will share their feedback and networks to promote the French digital industry’s development in Africa. The aim is to develop regional, national and international cooperation, to create business opportunities by highlighting the French IT companies’ savoir-faire.
